The 2020 Greenwood FREEDOM FEST
Has been CANCELED due to Covid-19 restrictions.
There will be Fireworks on the evening of July 4th as usual.
Freedom Fest is an all American festival celebrating
America's Independence Day ~ July 4th,
This festival is sponsored by your Parks and Recreation Dept. and Greenwood A&P Commission!!
Our festival day starts with the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce 5 K Run with divisions for all ages. Applications for this race can be acquired at the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce office or at www.greenwoodarkansas.com
Following the 5 K Run, the Town Square comes alive with music from local and regional artists as well as several well-known musicians. There will be free games and bounce-a-rounds (some with water) for the children! Arts and Craft vendors and some of the area's best trucks, enjoy free hot dogs at noon from Focus on Greenwood or sit in the shade of the Big Top Tents and be entertained all day!
The Greenwood Fire and Police Departments along with the Sebastian County EMS will have their equipment on display for a hands on experience! Then at dusk... be ready for one of the River's Valley's largest FIREWORKS Display!

The Greenwood FALL FESTIVAL
Fall Festival Scheduled for October 3, 2020
Come celebrate the Fall Season with the Greenwood Parks and Recreations Department. This annual event held in Bell Park features Arts and Crafts Vendors, lots of food, entertainment, inflatables, hay rides, carnival games, and face painting & more!
We will start accepting vendor applications on July 5, 2020.
TRICK OR TREAT ON THE TRAIL

at THE GHS CAMPUS
The City of Greenwood, Greenwood High School,
along with some area businesses and organizations will be giving back to the community!
Halloween Night, October 31, 2019
5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
by passing out candy on the “Halloween Trail”
(Beginning at Zachery Park and ending at the Fire Dept.)
All volunteers will be dressed in silly, non-scary costumes and stationed along a half mile track of the City Walking Trail. Shuttle buses will be parked at the Greenwood Street Department Building on Bell Road and will shuttle children and their parents to the trail entrance at Zachary Park on the corner of Atlanta and Coker every 15 minutes. Parking is available nearby and parents are encouraged to walk the trail with their children as no escorts will be provided. City Firemen will be stationed at the entrance of the “Halloween Trail” passing out glow in the dark necklaces, then trick or treaters can walk the Trail and collect candy from 15 different locations.
"The Trail is for children 7th grade and under!"
The trail will open at 5:30 p.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.
The last shuttle will run at 7:45 p.m.
Because of minimal lighting everyone is encouraged to bring a flashlight.
Any business, church or organization which would like to have a booth/station on the Trail should contact the high school office 479-996-4141.

by also contacting the High School Office
By providing this safe Halloween Trail,
Greenwood High School is saying thanks to the community for their support of all their academic and athletic activities throughout the school year!
TRAIL OF LIGHTS & CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK
Focus on Greenwood Holiday Trail of Lights
features 140 + displays illuminated with LED and RGB bulbs.
The decorations adorn beautiful Bell Park
and will be on display beginning
November 29 thru December 26, 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Focus on Greenwood is a 501c3 organization that raises funds for scholarships and Greenwood projects.
A donation is requested of each vehicle that visits the Trail.
COOKIES & COCOA WITH SANTA
at the Wilkinson Pavilion at Bell Park
On Saturday, November 30, 2019 ~ 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Stop in and visit with Santa!
Also visiting that night will be Mrs. Claus and the elves.
Come get in the Holiday Spirit!

Proceeds benefit South Sebastian County Historic Society. Sponsored by the Alpha Delta chapter of ESA.
2019 Airing of the Quilts Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4 at Pavilion. In addition to the quilt show, the 2019 event will include a tea room.
